“A massive thank you for running your circus workshop at our party last Sunday. You were a huge hit with guests of all ages – our boys rated you equal best bit joint with the chocolate cup cakes – so it’s official, eclipseArts – as good as chocolate cake!”

… Natalie, St Swithun’s CE Primary

“Wow what a wonderful day the children had. I would certainly recommend Tom for a circus skills workshop in a school. The resources were great and all activities were age appropriate. So many children shone who normally find school a bit ‘tricky’.”

…Alex Chambers, Holme CE School

“Holme School had an excellent circus skills day – enjoyed by all pupils and staff. It was excellently lead by Tom and I would highly recommend him to all schools.”

… Elsa, Down’s Syndrome Oxford

“Thank you Tom for a fantastic circus skills workshop at our Down’s Syndrome Oxford fun day this Sunday. You showed great patience and skill. Your workshop was a highlight of the day and enjoyed by all ages

and abilities.”

… Wendy, Stagecoach UK

Tom came to Stagecoach and did two 3-hour Circus Skills workshops, each with around 45 students. The students had the opportunity to try their hands at activities such as juggling, stilt-walking, poi, feather-balancing, snake-boarding and plate-spinning, which were then incorporated into mini-plays at the end of the session. Everyone agreed it had been a fun way to celebrate Stagecoach’s 20th birthday! Thanks Tom.

… Jo @ Jam Theatre Company, Marlow

“Thanks for running great workshops at Borlase School for us. The kids loved it and you ran it really well. 120 kids in a day- not easy!! Will definitely be in touch to book you to do a series of workshops.”

UK Centre for Carnival Arts

“I need to say a big thank you. The workshop in Circus Skills that you and your colleague provided for our Summer Scheme was well received by all the participants and I guess it was pretty obvious that we the workers also enjoyed the day. Your teaching style was informative but very encouraging and you made the workshop seem very accessible. Thank you again for making the day fun and memorable.”

Phil Mason, Wallingford, Oxfordshire

“Me and my 11 year old son are doing a circus skills workshop with Tom at the new Didcot arts centre and it is really great. I am 44 and never done any of this stuff, but after about 45 mins with Tom I could juggle 3 balls. In our second session tonight Tom taught me some tricks. Great stuff! thanks.”

S Bandyopadhya, Reading

“We recently had Eclipse Arts entertainment for our daughter’s birthday party. Tom managed to keep the largegroup of children absolutely fascinated with all the circus tricks throughout the entire duration of 2 hours. Even the adults were extremely impressed. He even went out of his way to help us with the decorations before the party and kept our daughter busy and entertained while we arranged the party essentials. This, we thought was very generous and helpful of him. The session itself is packed with lots of circus ideas and Tom has plenty of props and associated stuff which the children can try out later. Overall the party was a great success and lots of my daughter’s friends are already requesting their parents to have Tom at their parties. A very big thanks to you Tom and wish you great success in your future shows.”

Di, Didcot

“Fantastic – Tom visited the 23rd Didcot Cubs and Scouts on Red Nose Day and we had a wonderful evening of circus skills. It was lovely to see the young people developing new skills, confidence and showmanship. Thanks Tom, we’ll definitely see you in Didcot again.”

Nic Morrow, Harwell Primary School

“A big thankyou to Tom! The children at Harwell Easter Playscheme had a fantastic time today. The circus skills were great for confidence boosting and team building. We had a hall full of very happy children and very impressed parents. Many Many Thanks!”

Gemma, Didcot

“Birthday parties are daunting when you’re a single Mum, but Tom came and took away all of the stress! We had 25 extremely happy children, and equally happy parents! New skills were learned by all and I would thoroughly recommend Tom especially for a party where you have mixed sexes coming. We also had ages 2 to 10 (majority of 6 year olds) and they were all enthralled by what was happening. Tom made sure everyone went home with a balloon model so they had a momento of the day. Massive thank you!!!”

Katherine Cordingly, Over Wallop, Hampshire

“Fantastic birthday party for my daughter. Her and her friends had a great time. She said it was her best party ever! She has been practising her new skills ever since.”

“We wanted to cheer up in their lunchtime by learning a new skill. Most popular was Tight Rope Walking and Tom was very patient in teaching people how to do it but also making sure they didn’t injure themselves. I’d use him again.”

Annie Roads, Aylesbury

“Thank you so much for the fantastic night. I really appreciate the way you mingled with the crowd all evening as well as the stage show. I have had nothing but people tell me how much they enjoyed. Thank you for all the extra effort, efficiency, easy goingness, and adaptability of helping with the event.”

Ruth, Bodleian Libraries, Oxford

Ishanthi, Oxford

“Thanks for entertaing the boys a my son’s 7th birthday party so well. They all had a great time and many of them have subsequently said how much they enjoyed it. Keeping a bunch of 7yr olds entertained is not easy but you judged their level really well, and adjusted what you taught accordingly.”

Victoria Armour, Twickenham

“Tom, thank you for making Tallulah’s day soooooo fun and fabulous! Her friends had a wonderful time. I was very impressed that you managed to keep almost 20 7-8 year old children so engrossed, and my other half as well. Thanks so much, I’m highly reccommending you to everyone. Thank you soooooo much. Lovely meeting you.”

… Dave Borrie is the headteacher at Shaw Primary School in Melksham,

“Tom has run Circus Skills after schools clubs for KS1 and KS2 this term at my school. They have been very well attended and also well led. Tom has impressive Circus Skills and is able to help children progressively pick up the skills and have fun too! He started off with a very entertaining assembly that showed what Circus Skills are. This encouraged many children to join the clubs. He has a CRB and has a very pleasant manner with the children. If you want to run a different sort of club to the usual range of after school clubs then I would recommend trying this.”

… Judy Munday works for the Thames Valley Partnership

“We have worked with Tom on a number of circus workshop projects. He has always been most professional, reliable, punctual and easy to work with, delivering high quality circus activity workshops across a range of very different skills and to various client groups

The main piece of work was running circus skills workshops on a weekly basis in a small primary aged Pupil Referral Unit with a small group of boys who were not thriving in main stream school. All the boys had some sort of behaviour or engagement issue and were a volatile group. Tom built up a great rapport with them all (as well as the staff) and all greatly anticipated the sessions. The pupils related well to Tom and learnt fast, achieving well and feeling good about themselves. The high point was when they were invited into their local infant school to give a display of their new talent.”

… Lucy, aged 7,

“Thank you for teaching us tricks. I like it when we put a feather on our nose and the flower sticks. The poi were hard.”

… Alex, aged 5,

“I like you juggling with balls. I like it when you span a plate on your finger. Thank you for coming to our school.”

… William, aged 9,

“Thank you very much for the juggling you taught me it was really fun, but the three [ball] juggling was hard. The spinning plates, they were fun but hard because I couldn’t get it spinning but when I got it spinning it was fun. The diabolos were the best but when I thrown it up and [it] rolled away from me, it was bad when that happened. Thank you very much!!!!!
